The Firm's practice is largely devoted to the representation of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties and other participants in the construction process. The Firm represents, on an ongoing basis, several general contractors and construction managers working locally and throughout New England. Among these are many of the largest commercial and industrial contractors in New Hampshire. The Firm also counts among its clients dozens of companies, large and small, devoted to the construction trades, as well as a number of specialty contractors.   In addition to those construction firms with New Hampshire roots, the Firm has represented national and international contractors whose business has brought them to New Hampshire.

The Firm's work for clients in the construction industry has been as varied as the scope of construction itself. The Firm represents clients involved in various contracting arrangements, including traditional construction, construction management and design/build, and in virtually every phase of a construction project, from bidding and contract formation, changes, unforeseen conditions, payment disputes and the like, to completion of the project and final payment.  A substantial portion of the Firm's practice involves disputes between contractors or other participants in the construction process, including owners and design professionals. The Firm's experience includes representation of contractors in all phases of litigation, including specifically lien enforcement and bond claims. Since many construction contracts contain dispute resolution provisions which call for mediation and/or arbitration, the Firm is frequently involved in prosecuting or defending claims in such proceedings.

Members of the Firm are routinely asked to speak at seminars and conferences on construction law, both for attorneys and for construction industry representatives, and they frequently write and lecture on topics related to construction. The Firm's attorneys are also regular participants in seminars and conferences of national scope intended to enhance their expertise in construction law and practice.

The Firm is an active member of the New Hampshire/Vermont chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors and the New Hampshire Good Roads Association.  Its attorneys are members of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry. Rick Gagliuso is a member of the construction panel of mediators and arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. Kelly Gagliuso is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the American Arbitration Association Construction Advisory Council.
